About Tomcat Laundromat

The origins of the Tomcat Laundromat began with the sudden collapse of 60 High Street in 2018. The buildings at 58 and 60 High St. were the first two structures to be demolished by the Athens County Land Bank, and out of the ashes emerged the Tomcat Laundromat to fulfill a need in the Glouster community and contribute to the revitalization of downtown initiated by GRO (Glouster Revitalization Organization).

Dr. David Funk, founder of Capstone Properties Ltd., and Capstone member Matthew Niese partnered on the renovation of 62 High Street into a clean, modern laundry facility as part of a Capstone sustainable social enterprise where all profits from the venture go to supporting the Glouster Revitalization Organization’s (GRO) activities.

All Tomcat Laundromat profits are donated to the Glouster Revitalization Organization (GRO)
